The Benefit of Community

Did you know that Heartspace Circle was founded as a community circle? That is what the “circle” in Heartspace Circle means.

We started leading the monthly Council Practice. Council is a mindful communication practice, that builds community, empathy, and trust.

Our why? A lesser-known aspect of wellness is community. Studies on Resilience and Positive Psychology indicate that during times of high stress, people naturally reach out to others in service or connection. This very act not only helps to reduce stress it also calms a worried heart or mind.

At Heartspace Circle we believe the overall state of our community is directly impacted by our individual level of wellness.

For example, when we are in love and life is going your way we are more apt to be more open, loving, and kind to others. When we are in fear, doubt, or high stress the way we respond to the world can be short, harsh, cold, or angry.

While we all exist in various communities, we do not always feel seen or heard. In some cases, we may even hide.

HSC is getting back to our roots and holding a monthly Community Connection Hour. The facilitated discussion will be a time to share your accomplishments, progress, goals, and intentions for the coming month.

In your willingness to participate, be present and experience mindful communication, you may find that it is what your heart needs.
